“Coaching is a series of confidential one-to-one meetings with a professional coach within a defined time period, supporting you to achieve goals to benefit you and your business.”
Working with a coach helps you find your own answers and approaches to accomplishing the goals you want to achieve it helps develop your awareness of yourself and those around you and offers support and challenge in a confidential environment.
The right coach should be able to offer a safe, focussed, listening space, build your confidence and enable you to make changes: they should question, encourage, support and challenge to help you consider new and different perspectives.
My focus is on helping professionals move into new management and leadership posts, enabling them to recognise and build on their skills and overcome any limiting concepts or external challenges. I work directly with individuals or in three-way contracts with individuals and their organisations.
what are the benefits?
“Coaching is unlocking a person’s potential to maximise their own performance. It is helping them to learn rather than teaching them” (Timothy Gallwey)
effective coaching can:
- increase your confidence and resilience
- unlock your potential
- provide clarity
- improve your performance
- improve your skills
how to maximise the benefits
- be honest about where you are – the more open you are, the more support I can offer
- be clear about what you want to achieve and what that will deliver for your business – coaching is most effective when personal and business goals are aligned
- listen openly to feedback from all sources
- ensure you are clear after each session on your actions
- be prepared to commit to real change
